Fire Lanes
Fire lanes are probably the best money that can be spent on a timberland or wildlife property. The benefits of a fire lane are well beyond that of its intended nature. After the fire is long gone and it has reached its objective; the fire break is still there acting as a wild life opening, food plot, access road, and future wildfire preventer. That's a lot of bang for your buck.
Prescribed Burn
Fire is perhaps forestry’s oldest tool, its been used to improve forest and wildlife by native Americans for hundreds of years. As a Alabama prescribe burn manager we are trained to safely perform both site preparation and understory burns. By safely reducing excessive amounts of shrubs, brush, and trees it allows growth of native vegetation, and maintains the many plant and animal species whose habitats that depend on periodic fire. Prescribe fire helps reduce the buildup of understory fuel
which helps reduce damage from wildfire.
Small Construction
Our extensive background in construction makes us uniquely qualified to help plan and oversee the construction of your cabin, barn, boat dock, and equipment storage buildings. We stay on top of the project from start to finish, inspecting and documenting work progress, and furnishing the landowner with reports and photos to keep them up to speed. We specialize in a rustic look using local native materials. We are equipped for projects in remote areas that don’t have water or electricity.

We produce a wide variety of annual and perennial forages on most of the properties we manage, for both year-round nutrition and hunting season attraction. We can generate a custom layout for your hunting property that takes all surrounding habitat features and food sources into consideration, and will optimize the hunting potential on your land. If your property needs new or larger plots we clear brush and timber to create new plot locations, or screen off sections of larger fields to dramatically increase daytime usage. Properties with the right combination cover and nutrition hold more game.
Tree Planting
Every good hunting property needs an orchard, having a productive orchard can set your property apart from anything else in the surrounding area. We hard mast and soft mast specifically chosen for their disease and drought resistance, pollination and fruit drop timing, their attractiveness and their high rate of production, and take the time to establish them correctly. The results are worth the effort! A productive orchard is a wildlife magnet, and the ultimate perennial food plot.
Brush Mulching
Forestry mulching is the single step process by which undesirable vegetation-trees, brush, and stumps- is ground into mulch. The mulch is spread over the entire area, no piles left behind. There is no stripped or scarred land to wash or erode. The property is left with a fresh carpet of mulch, which naturally decomposes into the rich topsoil.
Maps and Planning
A map and a management plan is the first thing needed in order to develop a great property. These two items are essential to develop a property to its full potential on budget. We can list fields, structures, streams, stands of timber, roads and trails with out mapping software. We have numerous resources for satellite images to build an accurate map of your property. If the satellite image is not current we have the ability to fly your property and use a drone for imagery also.
